Mount Kenya Sirimon-Sirimon Route(4 days)
The Sirimon–Sirimon Route (4 days) is one of the most popular ways to trek Mount Kenya to Point Lenana (4,985 m). It follows the same trail up and down, making it ideal for hikers with limited time. The route is known for its gradual ascent, relatively dry conditions, and excellent acclimatization compared with the Naro Moru route.

Nairobi → Nanyuki → Sirimon Gate → Old Moses Camp

- Pick-up from your hotel or a central meeting point in Nairobi.
- Drive approximately 4 hours (200 km) to Nanyuki via the Thika Superhighway.

- Lunch in Nanyuki.
- Continue about 1 hour to Sirimon Gate (2,650 m) for park registration.

- Begin the trek through montane forest and bamboo before entering heathland.

This day is important for acclimatization because you’ll spend the night above 4,000 m.

The climb follows a steep rocky path toward Point Lenana.

Reach Point Lenana (4,985 m).
Enjoy sunrise views over:

- Batian and Nelion peaks
- Kenya’s central highlands
After photographs:
- Descend to Shipton’s Camp for breakfast.
- Continue descending to Old Moses Camp.
